Free Carrie Nation and the Speakeasy concert Friday

The McPherson Museum summer music series will welcome Carrie Nation and the Speakeasy Friday, Aug. 3 at Lakeside Park band shell. The concert will begin at approximately 9 p.m. The audience is encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blanket and bug spray. Free popcorn courtesy of McPherson Cinema IV and free water courtesy of Culligan's will be provided.
The summer music series is sponsored by Clayworks at Disability Supports and a grant from the McPherson Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Carrie Nation and the Speakeasy is a high-energy, acoustic brass 'n' grass outfit based out of Wichita, KS. The band, whose sound has been described as a stagecoach in overdrive, has brought their eclectic blend of punk, bluegrass, dixieland, and circus tunes to packed bars, basements, and festivals across the United States since 2007.
